Garden Flowers

Flowers are rainbows we don’t have to wait for sunny rain showers to enjoy.  Do we ever tire of the flowers we love to grow in our gardens?  This is only a sampler of the flowers that do well in Northwest gardens, many of these even grow in my shady, clay soil garden (though I do grow a lot in pots to take advantage of sunny spots and better soil)!  A few of these pictures are from public gardens and a few from my mother’s yard, which was in Seattle.

Be sure to click on a picture to view larger and enjoy the slide show, the bright colors are ‘eye candy’, good for the soul on a winter’s day ~ or any time!

More flowers can be found at Primulas. If you invite me to your garden, I would be happy to photograph and include your rainbow!
