The Hobbit House

On the way home from the Tetons we were able to find a cabin to rent for two nights, giving ourselves a quiet day of rest before facing the long hot drive home. In a pine forest, in the Bitteroot Valley, we were impressed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into this lovely cabin. It was truly a work of love. Peaceful, we had a tiny creek near the cabin a larger one a short walk away. The constant sound of rushing water helped us to relax during the 90 degree day! Turkey’s were around, a ground squirrel kept Abby on her game, and we had a too short respite.

Thought you’d enjoy seeing this “Hobbit House”, which was actually called Bear Creek Cabin.

Cool house! Saw the Tetons once in 1965 – they were magnificent!

Penny, I may have a surprise for you from the distant pasture H. F. Hubbard if that is your Dad’s name. Please send an e-mail to me and I will elaborate. Thanks.
